Ronald Scearce, the current Westover District member of the Pittsylvania County Board of Supervisors, has received the endorsement of RED PAC in his re-election bid. RED PAC, a group that aims to elect conservatives at the local level, has chosen to endorse Scearce based on his commitments to various conservative principles.

According to the Pittsylvania County website, the county will be holding elections on November 7, which includes the Board of Supervisor elections. Scearce is running for re-election to represent the Westover District on the Board of Supervisors, and his endorsement from RED PAC is expected to boost his campaign.

The Pittsylvania County Board of Supervisors is responsible for appointing the County Administrator, establishing policy, passing and repealing county ordinances, and approving the final annual budget. The board consists of seven members, and Scearce has been serving as the Westover District representative.

In a September opinion piece for the Chatham Star-Tribune, Scearce emphasized his commitment to upholding Second Amendment rights and highlighted the significant investments made in the Danville-Pittsylvania region since 2018. He also mentioned his involvement in bringing businesses like Tyson Foods to the area, which has created more job opportunities.

In a release on the platform X, announcing the group's endorsement of Scearce and other candidates throughout Virginia, Kevin Gardner, Executive Director of RED PAC said "these candidates embody core conservative principles. Their unwavering commitment to transparency, fiscal prudence, and local economic advancement will surely benefit their constituencies."

Aside from his role in Pittsylvania County government, Scearce is also a 22-year veteran of the United States Air Force.

With the endorsement from RED PAC, Scearce's re-election campaign for the Westover District seat on the Pittsylvania County Board of Supervisors is expected to gain momentum. Voters will have the opportunity to cast their ballots on November 7.
